DeNovix Releases Higher Magnification CellDrop Models Optimized for Yeast, Stem Cells and Other Small Cells
WILMINGTON, DE – October 16th, 2024 – DeNovix announces the expansion of the CellDrop Automated Cell Counter range with the commercial release of two new models, the CellDrop FLxi and CellDrop BFx.
The new models include higher magnification optics designed for the quantification and viability assessment of small cells, such as stem cells and yeast. The new instruments are optimized for measurements of cells in the range of 2 – 20 µm and use simple mix-and-measure assays to make processing quick, easy and reliable.
Both instruments include patented DeNovix DirectPipette™ technology, which eliminates the requirement for plastic slides in cell counting workflows.
The CellDrop FLxi and CellDrop BFx have been added to the DeNovix Free Trial program. Users can evaluate any CellDrop model in their lab for one week at no cost.

CellDrop Automated Cell Counters include a range of dual fluorescence and brightfield instruments that features DirectPipette™ technology. This unique sample loading method eliminates the need for disposable slides, therefore reducing the plastic waste and ongoing costs associated with routine cell counting. The CellDrop also offers flexibility in accepting disposable or reusable slides for samples that require containment.
