MASSACHUSETTS DISTRICT COURT, USA – August 9, 2017 – Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. has dismissed civil action 1:16-cv-12347-PBS.  The complaint was originally filed in U.S. district court in Massachusetts on November 21, 2016.

In the complaint, Thermo Fisher alleged that DeNovix infringed its IP with the DeNovix DS-11 family of products. DeNovix takes IP protection very seriously and completely disagreed that infringement ever occurred.  DeNovix is very familiar with the Thermo Fisher patents since NanoDrop Inc. filed these patents while Fred Kielhorn (co-founder and CEO of DeNovix) was its president.

DeNovix released V3.0 software in May of 2016 providing best-in-class sensitivity. This best-in-class performance continues today and DeNovix continues to be free to market and sell its DS-11 family of spectrophotometer/fluorometers on a worldwide basis.
